Another Eland Cables runner for charity!

10th June 2007
With all these runners at Eland we could probably form an Olympic Team! This week Suzanne, Graphic Designer, took up the challenge to take part in the Race for Life, which is a 5K run for women to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The money is used for preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
She ran the entire 5km despite the heat and managed to raise over £500! Watch this space for our 10km run on the July 1st.Eland Cables makes a fashion statement for Breast Cancer!

6th June 2007
We have donated money, we're in the midst of training for the 10km run, and now we have decided to update our wardrobes with the latest fashion look, all for Breast Cancer. Half of the money paid for each of the Breast Cancer awareness t-shirts will go towards Breast Cancer Research, so now we can promote awareness while contributing financially to a very worthy cause.

Eland Cables visits charity project in Nepal

1st May 2007
Last month Maria had the opportunity to pay a visit to Western Nepal to see the work that has taken place as a result of Eland's contribution to a UK charity. The money went towards building 2 new homes for the freed Kamayan community. It was very rewarding to see up close how such a contribution can make a really big difference in the lives of these people. It was also very meaningful for the community to meet a representative of Eland Cables face to face.
